🌸 October Special Workshop – Sakura, Chrysanthemum & Moss Design

Following our August and September workshops featuring Malaysia’s national flowers,
HANASHIBORI now presents a Japan-inspired design for October.

This month’s theme is Sakura, Chrysanthemum, and Moss.
The fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms in spring, the noble elegance of autumn chrysanthemums,
and the quiet presence of moss come together in a rice flour sponge cake box —
a creation that reflects Japan’s aesthetic of wabi-sabi and the changing seasons.

Using Shiro-an (white bean paste) made from white kidney beans,
you will pipe delicate flowers with natural colors to express the soft pink of sakura,
the vibrant hues of chrysanthemums, and the deep green of moss.
Light, plant-based, and naturally beautiful — Muslim-friendly (No pork, no lard).

The cake base is made with gluten-free rice flour sponge cake,allowing you to enjoy an elegant finish that is gentle on the body.

The delicate floral designs are crafted using imported Japanese shiro-an (white bean paste).
Unlike whipped cream or dairy-based frostings, this offers a completely new decorating experience.Since it contains no oils, it holds its shape well and remains beautiful even in hot weather.

Our Japanese and local instructors will carefully and clearly guide you step by step —
from coloring the bean paste to piping beautiful flowers.Please feel free to join us and enjoy this special experience.

🍰 Flower Cake Decoration shiro-an
Decorate a soft rice flour sponge cake using shiro-an, and pipe beautiful flowers like the Sakura, Chrysanthemum & Moss design. The shiro-an is made from white kidney beans. We aim to create sweets that are both healthy and beautiful.
